- President of FIDO Tech joins historic UK-India trade delegation in October 2025
- FIDO’s advanced AI is being used to help improve water resilience in Bengaluru, India
PRESS RELEASE
LONDON & MUMBAI: October 8, 2025: Victoria Edwards, the President of pioneering AI company FIDO Tech, has joined Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer as part of a UK business delegation to India.
It is the first such official trade visit since the signing of the UK’s landmark UK-India Free Trade Agreement in July.
FIDO Tech is an innovative water technology company, whose cutting-edge FIDO AI was recently deployed in Bengaluru as part of a 10-year deal to improve water resilience.
The company, which employs more than 70 people in Oxfordshire and India, expects to grow its Indian revenues to an order book value of £15 million GBP in the next 5 years.
As part of the visit, Victoria joined the Prime Minister on his flight and accompanied delegates and ministers to a number of meetings and networking events designed to increase cooperation and economic growth.
Since co-founding FIDO Tech in 2019, Victoria has steered the company from start-up to global growth. It now operates in four continents with clients including regional utilities and corporates like Microsoft, Meta, Coca Cola and Gap Inc.
Its most recent partnership in India, a key region for the apparel industry supply chain, is with Gap Inc.
FIDO AI delivers impact at scale by identifying the causes and size of water loss on public water networks at scale, such as leakage and other forms of non-revenue water (NRW). These AI-validated outcomes then provide accurate insight for network planning and asset maintenance.
“It’s a huge honour to be joining this delegation at a such a key moment for trade between our two nations. As in many parts of the world, water scarcity is a challenge for our communities, businesses and the environment, and one which urgently needs new approaches,” said Victoria.
“FIDO AI, an intuitive, accessible technology built and trained in the UK to help mankind better manage our most precious resource, is one such approach.
“Water is a fundamental component of economic growth. By replenishing water at scale and validating the outcome, FIDO AI mitigates risk and improve overall water resilience in the watershed. We recently started our first project in Bengaluru and I’m looking forward to forging new links and collaborations in India which accelerate the deployment of AI which delivers public good, for mutual benefit.”
The purpose of the business delegation is to focus on strengthen bilateral relations, expand trade and investment opportunities, and foster collaboration in sectors of mutual interest.

About FIDO Tech
FIDO is a UK-based global technology company using deep learning from its vast curated water data sets to rapidly improve global water management and community water resilience at scale. Its AI is the only technology which can find leaks and other water events occurring on any pipeline network in real time and rank them by size for effective prioritization. Its results are verified using volumetric water benefit accounting, a global water stewardship standard, and it is now used in four continents, with offices in the UK and the US. FIDO AI and non-revenue water
Non-revenue water (NRW) is water which enters a public water pipeline network but never gets to a paying consumer, mostly because of leakage. It is an important cause of water stress. Because around 90% of leaks don’t appear above ground, utility leakage levels remain persistently high around the world. The World Bank estimates that around 30% of the global water is lost in this way, although the percentage varies widely across utilities.
