Alex Leyland joins FIDO Tech as Operations Director
Oxford UK, 14 July 2026 – FIDO Tech has appointed Alex Leyland as Operations Director, strengthening its leadership team as the business continues to scale its innovative water management solutions worldwide.
In his new role, Alex will be responsible for all aspects of operational service delivery and customer experience. He will play a key role in helping FIDO further professionalize its operational model and processes, ensuring the company continues to deliver exceptional value and measurable outcomes for customers and users.
Alex joins FIDO with extensive leadership experience across the utilities sector, having held senior operational roles at organisations including British Gas, Elexon and Suez. During his time at Suez, he served as General Manager of Operations and Interim Managing Director for the company’s UK water business.
Throughout his career, Alex has designed and led cross functional departments and operational processes, multi-million-pound contractual partnerships and overseen the deployment of new products and services, using data-driven insights to improve performance and deliver value for customers and stakeholders.
