Software company FIDO Tech has appointed Mitch Donnelly as CEO in a strategic move which will further cement its position as a global leader in AI water technology.

Mitch’s exceptional expertise in running successful B2B utility, digital water and SaaS businesses strengthens FIDO’s top team at a key moment in the firm’s rapid development.

As well as securing significant Series B funding, FIDO Tech recently launched a SaaS product using AI to reduce global utility water loss, FIDO Smart.

As CEO, he will work closely with FIDO’s founder and President, Victoria Edwards, who maintains a key strategic role guiding the company’s vision and mission, as well as being its external facing ambassador.

Welcoming him to the company, Victoria said Mitch would make a rapid and valuable impact to the business.

“Few people in business, let alone the water sector, have the knowledge, expertise and heart it takes to run a purpose-led AI company like FIDO Tech.  Mitch is that man. I am very much looking forward to working closely with him to make sure we realise our enormous potential and become the world-leading Saas company the world’s water crisis needs right now,” she said.

Mitch joins FIDO Tech from EXL, a global leader in data analytics using AI, where he was Vice President and Global Head of Utilities and Infrastructure. Prior to that he was CEO of Suez Digital Solutions in the UK.

“Everyone in the water sector has heard of FIDO. It is a great business using tech and the power of AI to deliver change that impacts real lives and I was really attracted by its strong, clear purpose and mission. Water is one of those things that none of us can survive without. The technology is already great and I am looking forward to driving FIDO’s growth forward to ensure that FIDO’s technology has the ability to maximise impact on a global scale” he said.

Mitch will be based out of FIDO’s head office in Oxfordshire.
