LONDON. March 19, 2026: FIDO Tech has joined the ranks of the UK’s hottest high-growth scaleups after being named one of Tech Nation’s prestigious Future Fifty companies for 2026.
The Future Fifty is an invitation-only industry agnostic program which inducts 25 companies twice a year. Highlights include bespoke c-suite events, founder missions to Dubai, Singapore, and New York, and the annual Future Fifty Forum.
Past participants include nearly a third of the UK’s unicorn companies – the name given to private tech startups valued at over $1 billion – as well as decacorns Revolut and Wise.
The initiative aims to propel founder led promising tech companies on the path to unicorn status and international expansion through peer networks and expert mentorship.
Since being relaunched two years ago, Future Fifty has fast-tracked the growth of 75 ambitious companies, connecting best-in-class founders with expertise, insights and international connections.
The latest cohort of 25 companies span the AI, healthtech, cybersecurity and climate tech sectors. In FIDO’s case, we specialize in developing AI to help address some of the world’s most critical global water challenges through practical, data driven insight.
As part of Future Fifty, FIDO’s founder and c-suite will get access to connections, insight and global exposure, starting with a public event at Number 11 Downing Street hosted by Chancellor Rachel Reeves and attended by our Founder Emeritus, Victoria Edwards.
Mitch Donnelly, CEO of FIDO Tech, said: “FIDO is doing incredible work worldwide helping utilities, municipalities and other companies use AI to reduce water loss and improve overall water resilience. It has never been a more crucial time. This phenomenal program recognises our enormous potential, not just to the UK but as a response to the effects of climate change generally. It is hugely exciting to be part of it and it’s a credit to our amazing global team.”
Victoria Edwards, FIDO’s Founder Emeritus, said: “FIDO has come so far since it started as four people with the germ of an idea to use AI to help find the 30% of world water that goes missing through leakage. Being identified as a possible future unicorn today shows that that idea and the hard work that has already helped make it a growing brand could go on to help solve the era-defining problem of water scarcity. It’s an honour to be invited to sit among such an illustrious group of UK entrepreneurs and founders. Thanks to Tech Nation and the Founders Forum for giving FIDO this great springboard.”
Carolyn Dawson OBE, CEO of Founders Forum Group, said: “The founders in this cohort are ambitious and determined to make their mark on the world. We’re proud to back them with the connections, insight and global exposure they need to scale on their own terms, right here in the UK. This next generation of tech giants are poised to address some of the most pressing global challenges. The Future Fifty programme supports their ambitions while reinforcing the UK’s position as a leader in global technology and entrepreneurship.”
