FIDO Tech has strengthened its commitment to sustained and sustainable global growth with the appointment of Annabel Miller in the new role of Director of Culture and Talent.

Annabel will strengthen and grow the company’s worldwide team by leveraging FIDO’s passion, values and social contract to attract the best talent.

FIDO has set out to help beat water scarcity by saving the 30 per cent of global drinking water that is lost to leaks, and has developed the world’s only AI to detect and size hidden water leaks using the noise they make.

Just two years after launch, FIDO AI is used across five continents and the company is entering a period of rapid growth, having recently secured backing from major investors.

CEO Victoria Edwards said: “I am absolutely delighted that Annabel is joining us at this important stage in our aspirational journey towards becoming the water sector’s first business unicorn. As we scale and grow, it’s vital we retain the passionate, creative and agile working environment that so excites people to come and work here and which helped make us the success story we are today.

“Annabel has the perfect combination of skills and ethos, having led and grown successful high-performing teams in multiple industry sectors and, most recently, helped steer a small impact start-up through a period of rapid growth.”

As well as supporting and empowering colleagues to keep delivering outstanding work as the team grows in breadth and complexity, a key part of Annabel’s remit is to nurture FIDO’s energy and passion.

Said Annabel: “Having come from a highly mission-driven company, it’s great to be part of a business with such passion, making a fundamental difference to the water security of the planet. There is a real buzz in FIDO, which I want to bottle and make sure that every single touchpoint anyone has with us, whether as a new joiner, a colleague or a client, feels that sense of urgency and energy.

“It’s great that the role of culture and talent has been recognised so early in the company’s scaling journey. In lots of businesses the importance of culture can be an afterthought, so it says something extremely positive about the vision of FIDO at this stage.”
