Reliable cost-effective AIoT water leak detection

FIDO’s IoT Relay devices automate AI leak detection and deliver daily points of interest and leak size mapped against your GIS data.

They can be deployed at the same time as you place your sensors or installed retrospectively to turn mobile loggers into a permanent AIoT water leak detection solution.

Easy to deploy using the FIDO smartphone app. No need for device pairing or physical contact between devices.

Units come in two sizes to fit even the smallest of asset chambers, and attach simply to the inside of barrel walls or chamber lids using a magnet.

The benefits of AIoT water leak detection

Network Monitor Powered by FIDO AI is designed to make AIoT-driven water leak monitoring simpler and more efficient.

Benefit icon 7

Prevent problems early

Reduce the risk and disruption of unknown leaks by getting to points of interest earlier and locating them before they cause supply interruptions or costly collateral damage. FIDO’s AIoT water leak detection identifies leaks as they arise so that you can prioritize investigation and repair resources.

Benefit icon 18

Ease resource pressure

Free up time in your stretched operations and analytics teams without using artificial noise or data limits. FIDO’s AIoT water leak detection fully automates acoustic data analysis at scale, analyzing thousands of data points in seconds, eliminating extraneous noise and accurately identifying leaks in even the quietest samples.

Benefit icon 16

Get more bang for your buck

Cover more network with the same number of sensors by taking advantage of FIDO’s fully flexible easy-to-deploy system. Our AIoT water leak detection can be used semi-permanently as part of a cost-effective rolling program of 3-to-6-month monitoring to build up total network visibility over time.

The many uses of FIDO's system

Leak noise correlation
Continual leak monitoring
Accelerate corporate water transition

Ethical lifecycle

We operate a return-to-base policy for end-of-life disposal. Component parts are ethically and responsibly disposed of in accordance with EEEI or equivalent local region regulations.

Your questions answered

There is a FIDO IoT Relay for any water asset chamber, even the smaller ones typically found across Europe and in some other regions. Our largest Relay device measures 6.8 inches (172mm) at its widest point. However, we will supply you with the most appropriate model for your needs when you place your order.

Our Relays are principally designed to reliably transmit data from FIDO sensors to FIDO AI in the cloud and two-way communications is currently limited to Relay diagnostics at the moment. However, this will soon change as our development team are already planning a software release which will let you manage and instruct sensors remotely.

No. Everything a FIDO Relay needs to do its job is contained within the device’s rigid shell. There are no external antennae, sockets or charging ports. You just wake the device up using the FIDO app and place it magnetically into the same chamber as the sensor. The device will wake up daily, connect to the sensor and upload the data to FIDO AI for analysis. That’s it.

IoT Relays will send a daily ‘handshake’ to confirm they are working. They are also fitted with an accelerometer and will send an alert if they become dislodged or are moved. You can view all Relay diagnostics including status, last contact, and upload time at any moment in your desktop Hub. This enables proactive troubleshooting and improves fleet-wide performance tracking.
